47 greek radio stations join forces for UNICEF today

47 radio stations from all around Greece are joining today's radio-Telethon carried out by UNICEF and Special Olympics, with the occasion of the International Day for the Children. "It's a Telethon for the abolition of discrimination, respect for diversity, aiming to strengthen programs for social integration of children with special needs, reduce poverty and malnutrition, and vaccinate sick children. We shouldn't let them lose hope. "

The Telethon will start at 4 pm Monday, December 13 and will last until the early hours. It is expected to include live links to all channels and radio stations of Athens and the major Greek cities, participating at the campaign. Amnesty International, with the generous support of 15 radio stations in Greece, invites today everyone to demand dignity for all people in the world who are victims of poverty and social exclusion. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 is designated as the day that radio stations will inform listeners about actions by Amnesty International to eradicate violations of human rights that plunge people into poverty.
