47 radio stations from all around Greece are joining today's radio-Telethon carried out by UNICEF and Special Olympics, with the occasion of the International Day for the Children. "It's a Telethon for the abolition of discrimination, respect for diversity, aiming to strengthen programs for social integration of children with special needs, reduce poverty and malnutrition, and vaccinate sick children. We shouldn't let them lose hope. "
The Telethon will start at 4 pm Monday, December 13 and will last until the early hours. It is expected to include live links to all channels and radio stations of Athens and the major Greek cities, participating at the campaign. Messages will be sent by the President of the Republic, the Ecumenical Patriarch, Archbishop of Athens, the Prime Minister, the President of Parliament and political leaders, while the studio of ET-1 will host the Ministers of Education, Health, Labour and many members of the Parliament. Via the call center many actors, men of culture and art, mayors, athletes, journalists, People TV and radio, schools, businesses and other celebrities will join forces.
Money Boxes will be installed this year in supermarkets in Athens, the village of Santa Claus in badminton, and many schools.
The musical part of the telethon will cover: En Kardia, Sanades and the Word of Mouth, the Onirama, Lena Alcaeou with Katerina Kouka, Babis Tsertos, Heleni Tsaligopoulou with Manos Achalinotopoulos and Eleonora Zouganeli with Isaiahs Matiaba.
Presenters of the telethon will be Marie Sarafoglou, Marilena Katsimi, Marion Michelidaki, Leonidas Antonopoulos, Kostas Arvanitis, Lena Aroni, Afentra Varsamakidou, Prokopis Dukas, Ritsa Bizogli, Eva Boura.
