As the plans of the Greek government for digital radio are still unclear, some first thoughts concerning digital radio broadcasting in Greece have already been heard within ERT. According to a report in the Radio-Link magazine, after a brief discussion of the author with executives of ERT in late December, they said they consider the use of the DRM+ standard for digital broadcasting in mediumwave and shortwave. As they said, improving the signal of international Greek radio broadcasts would mean "substantial offer to the country and multiple benefits for ERT".
Greek radio authorities force local radio station to jam the public radio
The Greek National Broadcasting Council (ES) according to a later decision, has sent radio 97.2 FM Stereo of Lesvos Prefecture, the official recommendation to stop broadcasting illegally at 97.6 MHz and return to 97.2, from Profitis Ilias of Lesvos Prefecture. Non-professional, unpaid correspondents for ERA Spor
The fact that non-professional journalists are being "employed" by ERA Spor for sport coverage in Northern Greece, whatsmore without a salary, has been revealed by the journalist's union party "Asyntachtos Typos". In particular, "ERA Spor, the biggest sports channel with a nationwide coverage, instead of using the existing professional journalists, takes advantage of non-journalists, who are asked to offer particular services, without any salary.
