ERT employees: Mr. Mossialos, you got the calculation wrong

Minister of State Mr. Mossialos, since his inauguration, has been serving the doctrine of "the end justifies the means." His main aim is dissolving ERT by defaming it and instead of "reorganizing" it, he is disorganizing it, in order to  deliver it to the interests that benefit from policies of the memorandum. Mr. Professor, whose origins are somewhere in the far west, keeps lying (?) concerning the true image of ERT. In an interview in a Sunday newspaper, he tried to present the staff of ET-1 as too big - 700 - people, compared with ET-3 -351 -. Both data are fake. The question is why does he refer to this data and why is he risking his credibility?

Minister's nisinformation may have two interpretations:
The first is his complete ignorance (?) of the data currently available about ERT.
The second, which we think is true, is the effort for the complete negation of the ERT, in order to justify the suspension of its main work output.

It is well known that ET-1 is not a separate track for ERT, but an integral part in the production process, and there is certainly no Directorate-General for ET-1 in ERT's adminstrative chart. Only 30 colleagues of ours work solely for the ET-1.

ERT-3 is administrative autonomous by law and functions as a full body. Along with the radio stations of Thessaloniki, it employs 413 employees and approximately 100 employees with fixed-term contracts.
Furthermore, there is a need for further recruitment of skilled personnel, so that it can operate smoothly and have the development, that the Minister is allegedly planning for it.

So, any comparison is inappropriate and dangerous.

Meanwhile, within the same or other interviewsm, he devalues ​​the sacrifices by the employees, after he declares that it is easy for ERT to have 60 million surplus when it has got so much revenue.

Mr. Minister, if it is an easy thing (as you say) to have a budget surplus, why do you constantly praise the Managing Director of Skai TV, where you spend days and nights, who as chairman of ERT let the fund unattended, creating huge deficits? (policy statements by Prime Minister - Parliament - October 2009).
We ask directly: you have a special relationship with the Skai People, Mr Minister? Because otherwise your stance cannot be explained, as you use this particular station as a press room of the government.

The numbers however are against you, Mr. Minister.

Employees of the ERT are currently 3,020 plus 450 under a temporary contract. We are the first who asked for cuts in excessive fees, (even when the Prime Minister said that they should be increased) to cut the bonuses, the excessive salaries; we haven't got a collective agreement since 2008, our salaries have been cut about 40% and have lost bonuses, the christmas bonus, etc. Meanwhile, after our pressure, the cost budgets for TV shows have been reduced, including the costs of missions abroad and overtime work. Keep in mind that we also push money to ERT, as they owe us 25,000 days off, which cannot be paid; we also pay ourselves for trips, since ERT pays up to 9 € for a one-day trip. For the cost of the hotels we pay the difference, because you and your Government think we can find a hotel with only 35 € per night.

Here's where the surpluses come from, Mr. Minister, so stop misleading your audience.

You say that the benefit resulting from the restructuring of the ERT is 60.000.000 €, which will go back to the households. So each citizen gains 6 € per year. But is this serious? The project of the "reorganization" of ERT has been announced to gain 8.000.000 €, which had no connection with reality and the closure of production units of ERT (so this argument has been easily deconstructed) .
Sir, you 've been swaddling clothes, as the surplus of ERT for 2011 will be anyway 60.000.000 € , with no 'reorganization'. If you want a real reorganization, radio or TV experts can do that and we are ready to help them with our professional experience.

Sir, when you and your government have removed 50% (at least 700 - 800 € a month) out of the earnings of all employees, pensioners, unemployed, having send them to misery and poverty and still take unaffordable measures against them, how will you manage to reduced the license fee by 1 €, like this would really relieve them! just by this measure; why are you making yourself ridiculous???
And if you split this money, how will you make the investments that you have announced and are necessary for ERT?
And if so, Mr. Minister and want to give them back to the citizens, why do you prepare the ground so that the surplus, or part of it, goes to the Ministry of Finance for unrelated purposes?
Do not dare Minister because you will not be immune forever; neither you or those who take this decision.
Sir, unethical and blatantly policies against workers, bring back a regime of another form.

If you can not stand the truth, please ask the Prime Minister to replace you.
Perhaps then you appear useful in the area that you have studied.
