Athens radio owners block the transfer of bankrupt stations to the employees

The agenda of the plenary session of the Greek National Broadcasting Council (ESR) today included the application of the unpaid employees of news Flash radio, who want to acquire its frequency, as it is suggested by a recent law about bankrupt radio stations. According a report by Vassilis Koufopoulos, the Union of Owners of Private Radio Stations of Attica (EIIRA) intervened and asked to speak to the Council, which has been scheduled for next week. Employees of two bankrupt Athens radio stations apply for taking over the frequency

On Monday, March 11, 2013, unpaid employees of Athens news radio station Flash 96, submitted an application to the Greek National Broadcasting Council, requesting the license and the frequency of the radio station.
