European School Radio launched today

European School Radio (μεγάλο λογότυπο)

The Student Internet Radio, European School Radio, is an original action, which is part of a broader educational philosophy and wants the student to see school as a place of creation and expression. The Student Internet Radio presents the ideas, creations, the concerns of the student community and communicate with today. The involvement of students in all stages of radio production as they participate in groups or technical support or producing programs. Pupils created the logo and the jingles, update the website of the radio, produced music shows and talk shows, did interviews and read the news.

The Student Internet Radio is an idea that was "born" in 2008 from the School Innovation Network and High School of Ekali and was joined by the High School - High School Kampani of Kilkis. It responds to the search for more dynamic and direct means of contact and education of children within their environment, taking their great interest in new technologies as granted. Since November 2011, the Junior and Senior High School of Kampani Kilkis ordinate activities for the renewed European School Radio and issued an open invitation to schools, teachers and pupils to participate in their own productions.

The renewed European School Radio is hosted by a streaming media platform in the Greek School Network (GSN) (www.sch.gr) and is heard by a special platform created for this purpose, video services, including co-operation with the Educational Radio Television (http://www.edutv.gr/) and the platform i-create, to form joint educational and recreational activities and the creation of a central radio through the GSN.

In school radio you can listen to music according to choices by students of all participating schools, 24 hours and 7 days, including productions of the pupils in their choice of subjects (cultural, environmental, sports, technology, etc.). The responsibility for the quality and content of programs will be taken by a coordinating radio group consisting of students, teachers and principals of participating schools and will obey statutes that are consistent with the philosophy of the Student Radio. The schools that have expressed interest and are involved with productions at the European School Radio in this phase of operation are:

● 5th Junior High School of Xanthi

The Junior and Senior High School of Kampani, Kilkis is the coordinating school that the teachers Giagkouli Nick, Genitze Noti, Vafiades Tasso, the support of the Directors of both schools Alatzoglou Sakis and Yiannis Papadakis and Chatzikamari Panagiota, whereas the Junior High School of Mouries promotes action and coordinate activities of student radio groups.

The Student Internet Radio - European School Radio aspires to become a channel of communication between members of the school community, both in Greece and abroad and promote the creativity and potential. The Student Internet Radio aims to highlight the hidden side of the school and to attract members to a participatory process. Students listen to Internet Radio and get involved in Student Online Radio. The GSN and the Educational Broadcasting invite you to support participation in the first Student Internet Radio, European School Radio.
