Public event on the present and future of the Greek Radio

A great discussion for the present and the future of radio was held on Sunday in Thessaloniki, in the frame of the first Radio Awards, organized by research center Noesis. A large number of guest speakers gave their views on the media. The allocation of radio awards of Greek and Cyprus will take place on Monday.

Greek public radio honours the World Radio Day

The radio stations of all local radio stations of Greek Public Radio are hosting features for the World Radio day. Referring to the history of the stations, including interviews and memories, the local radios are remembering the long history of the public radio service in the countryside and honour its offer to the listeners and the land. Antenna radio lost its nationwide coverage

As we had predicted, the identity and profile change of the former news radio of Antenna, had a negative effect on the radio  coverage of the group in the countryside. The program of Antenna FM used to be relayed in the countryside via the frequences of a 25 "networked" radio stations. Journalist Aristea Bougatsou passed away

The Administrative Council of the Journalists' Union of Athens is deeply sorry to announce the loss of the journalist, reporter and researcher Aristea Bougatsou, who passed away too young yesterday, after a tough battle with cancer, aged 49, even though she had still lots to offer to the Greek journalism. Radio Days Europe: 17-19 March, Berlin

Radiodays Europe is the meeting point for all radio in Europe, bringing together private and public radios in Europe. The 2012 conference in Barcelona, Spain had 800 participants from 45 countries. The next Radiodays Europe will be held in Berlin 17-19 March 2013. It is a place where professionals from public service and commercial radio can meet, discuss, network, find inspiration and perhaps even provocation. Broadcasting equipment stolen from Worker's Radio of Chalkida

Unknown stole the entire broadcasting equipment of a radio station of Chalkida, from its facilities on the mountain. The thieves to the broadcasting center of Chtypás on Saturday night, the broke in the container where the transmitter of the "Worker's Radio 96.5" was hosted and they took all the machinery. 8th extension for the "temporary legal status" of all Greek radio stations

The deadline for the announcement of issuing new radio licenses by the responsible minister, has been extended once more.
